Merry CHRISTmas Eve

We went to the Christmas Eve service at our church this evening. It was WONDERFUL. I love seeing all the candles lit throughout the church. I always looked forward to going to Christmas Eve service as a child. I'm so excited to carry on that tradition with Marion Clare. It seems we all get so busy with everything this time of year, it's nice to relax and be reminded of the true meaning of Christmas. I always want Marion Clare to know that we are celebrating the birth of Christ. That is the reason for the season. Yes, Santa gifts and all the fun things that go along with that are so much fun. Scotty and I both have some fun memories of all the Santa Claus excitement. We are still going to do Santa gifts and some other little fun traditions, but we just don't want to make a "big deal" out of Santa, but instead make a "big deal" out of the true meaning of Christmas! Happy Birthday Jesus!

Mommy and Daddy gave Marion Clare her first Christmas present on Christmas EVE(a new little tradition). A brand new set of pajamas to wear to bed on Christmas Eve night and a purple monkey to cuddle up with. I think she liked the wrapping paper the best. :)
