Baby... It's Cold Outside

I'm not a huge fan of summer, and I usually look forward to Fall and Winter weather, but the past couple of days have just been extremely too cold. Too cold to go outside, too cold to go anywhere. So we've been hanging out in our pj's all day long. Marion Clare and I have tried out every new toy that she got for Christmas, read every book on her bookshelf, listened to lots of music, and played some more. Schools have been closed all week and the high for tomorrow is predicted to be 5! YIKES! That might even be too cold for me. :) It looks like we might be stuck inside for a few more days. Hopefully it will warm up a little for next week. We have bible studies to go to, Gymboree classes to attend, library trips to make, playdates with friends, and MOPS starts back. We will finally be back on schedule after all the holiday festivities and snow days. So for now, enjoy our "snow day" pictures....no cute outfits, not even 1 single hairbow, and I can't even promise you matching pajamas. :)

Mommy thought she looked so cute in her new hat and mittens...Too bad Marion Clare didn't think so. It took me too many times to count to get a picture. She took the hat off faster than I could get it on.

Daddy multi tasking...."watching" Marion Clare while mommy took a shower, having a snack, and watching the football game. :) Can you see all the snow out the windows??
So, it was too cold to go outside to play in the snow.....so, we brought the snow inside. Yummy!!
My messy little eater. When I say messy, I mean messy!!
I can't tell you how long it takes me to clean up after this little girl....mopping the floor, cleaning and sanitizing the highchair, washing down the breakfast room walls and sometimes the kitchen counter too. WHEW! This is the reason we save our messy meals for dinner time. I give her a bath right after dinner, and I clean the kitchen when she's asleep.
Ridin' around on her brand new car! It was a little after Christmas surprise. I found it at Wal-Mart for $10, and I just couldn't resist.

Very cute hat!

As for the mess...I say feed her in the bath tub. ha! Am I brilliant or what? : ) That way you can just hose everything down.

Why am I just now thinking of this? ha!!! J/K

I did start doing this for suckers after the first time we had one after the doctors office and I had sticky EVERYWHERE. Now when anyone gives her a sucker she knows she gets to have it at bath time. She loves it and it's so much easier. : )
