Easter 2010/Sick Baby

We had plans to leave for Newport Saturday morning, but instead we ended up at Mercy Convenient Care. Marion Clare started running a fever Friday night and didn't sleep well at all that night. She was worse Saturday morning, so we decided it would be best to go see a doctor. I'm glad we did. She had a pretty bad ear infection and a sore throat. Bless her little heart. We couldn't be around anyone, b/c of the high fever and we couldn't go outside, b/c of the ear infection. Needless to say, we decided to hang out at home over the Easter weekend(no church or no Easter egg hunts for us). Marion Clare did wake up Easter morning to find some fun Easter goodies. She had a basket from mommy and daddy and a basket from the Easter bunny!

I had a sweet and VERY talented friend make this little Easter bucket for Marion Clare! I just think it's soo cute!

She looks so sick in this picture, but she was still determined to check out all of her goodies. :)

She was feeling a little bit better Sunday evening, so we had a little egg hunt in the house. :)

We were disappointed to miss church(especially on Easter Sunday). Scotty and I had our on little church service at home on Sunday night. We talked about how having a child has really opened our eyes to "God sending his only son to die on the cross for all our sins." Can you imagine sending your child to go through all that torture that Jesus went through for us? As if that's not enough, I can't help but look around and realize how blessed we truly are!!
